Interdisciplinary. Community. Growth.

Our Programs.

At Sprat, we recognize older adults and multi-generational groups as the most important participants in designing the future of our world. By delivering compelling learning experiences and opening space for dialogue, we bring groups together to share their stories, spark imagination, and artistically communicate with each other. Through our science-backed art curriculum, Sprat is determined to deliver easy-to-implement programming to older adults through our collection of one-of-a-kind art programs and experiences. We inspire our community members through artistic collaboration, while improving their mental, emotional, and physical health at the same time.

Seaspeak

Surrounded. Connected. Engaged.

This in-person arts education program is led by local teaching artists at independent living facilities, museums, schools, art galleries, nursing homes, senior centers, and community spaces. Through these programs, we encourage participants from different generations to deeply connect, express themselves, and learn from one another by engaging in a range of art disciplines such as performing and visual arts, creative writing, photography, music, movement, and more. Classes are facilitated in-person.

Our programming ranges between a six-month to five-year commitment and can be scheduled based on the individual needs of the organization. We offer anywhere from 1-hour classes to full-day workshops, all based on your population’s needs. This includes various professionally facilitated in-person classes, culminating exhibitions and performances, as well as access to our online portal where organizations can easily plan classes and track the progress of their community.
