Cultivating Connections Utilizing the Power of Creative Arts.

What We Offer

True healing happens when communities come together and gather in the arts.

At Sprat, we deliver interdisciplinary art programs for older adults and/or multi-generational groups to stimulate the practice of creative aging and awaken the true artist inside all of us. Our specialized curriculum focuses on building empathy, forming connections, and unlocking the wonders of the creative and cognitive mind. We are passionate about bringing people together and opening minds to new ways of learning and healing.

Testimonials.

"Watching the collaborative communication that takes place between our youth and the seniors as they interact is a truly heartening experience. It provides an opportunity for our young people to appreciate the stories, viewpoints, and experiences of our senior community members while practicing communication skill sets that increase empathy, patience, and curiosity.”

“I found myself very depressed and then I participated in Sprat. It has turned my life around. Creativity brings in so much life.”

Elder

“It’s been great to see people break outside of their shell. People have these preconceived notions about what the workshop is going to be like and it’s been awesome to see people challenge themselves and push themselves in a creative manner.”

Staff

“It’s interesting because they are older than you so the things that you are freaking out about now they can give advice on. It’s nice to hear their stories and it helps you look forward to your own future.”
